Whether you love culture, the sea, or the mountains, Il Boschetto is the perfect accommodation for those who want to discover the wonders of Tuscany. In one hour, you can reach Abetone’s most popular ski resorts and many hiking trails; in just 45 minutes you can relax along the coastal beaches, and in less than one hour you can visit numerous art cities such as Firenze, Siena, Lucca, Pisa, Vinci, and also picturesque historic villages.. Fine local foods and wines are sure to satisfy even the most refined palates and indulge wine connoisseurs.

Pistoia has much to offer, and tourists will not be disappointed. Its picturesque old town has many places of interest, especially museums such as Marino Marini and Museo dello Spedale del Ceppo, libraries and buildings of great historical and artistic value. Also, the medieval underground city is considered the biggest one in Tuscany and is well worth a visit.

Every year, Pistoia hosts many important cultural events. In July, you can attend the Pistoia Blues, the popular music festival with some of the biggest names in blues from all over the world. Or you can enjoy the Giostra dell’Orso, a medieval-style horse race involving the four rioni of the city. In May, you can take part in the Dialoghi sull’Uomo, an entire week of cultural meetings and events with experts and scholars taking place in the heart of the city.

If you have children, we definitely recommend that you visit the zoological garden, the biggest one in Tuscany and one of the biggest in Italy. It is a 7-hectares zoo with more than 400 animals including mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and insects.

Only 20km from Pistoia, in Collodi, you can visit the Pinocchio Park, opened in 1956. You will have the chance to enjoy a recreational and didactic journey into discovering the adventures of the most famous puppet through beautiful mosaics and sculptures. The Park hosts also a permanent contemporary art exhibition.
